(8) Compilation and distribution of the Quran:

The unit of the Quran is ayah . A verse can be a letter, compound or sentence/es. The Quran is actually based on the narration of the Muhammed PBUH. The verses combine to form surahs(fasil) . The manazil were made during the period of sahaba . These are total seven .7th is the most detailed. The order of surah were broken during the distribution of juzz.one verse of surah hijr is in one juzz and rest of the surah in next juzz. Then surahs divided into rukos by hajjaj ibn yousuf , an infamous figure of history . Seven groups have been formed to consider the Quran deeply and each group has their own purpose and each one contain few makki and madani surah.
(9)The Quran ;order of revelation and order of Mushaf :

Both are different . The sirah of prophet Muhammed (PBUH) can be derived from the order of mushaf but it cannot be said with certainty . We believe that what prophet (PBUH) recited to his companions was in the order of mushaf .

(A) prophet used to recite the Quran to the companions and they used to memorize it.

(B) Many companions were killed during the war . They suspected of losing the Quran that's why it was decided to give the Quran a book form during the khilafat of Hadrat Abubakar (RA).people of each tribe were given the freed to recite the Quran in their own dialects and the tone of the Quran began to change as Islam expanded .

(C)Therefore, Hazrat Uthman decided to unite the whole nation on a single script and it was written in the same script. Therefore, it is wrong to call it the Uttoman Mushaf.  Several names were suggested for it and then Abdullah Ibn Masood named it Mushaf.
